Pearl Aline Vantrease

Pearl Aline Vantrease, 95, of Taylorville, IL, formerly of Carbondale, died at 6:35 pm, Friday, April 1, 2011 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville.

She was born October 28, 1915 in Bonnie, Illinois, the daughter of Alva and Emma McCullough Dial. On April 14, 1947 she married John Carl Vantrease in Murphysboro, IL and he preceded in death in 1954. Mrs. Vantrease worked in retail sales and was a volunteer at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Carbondale, IL.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Sue Ashby and husband Ernest of Pawnee, IL; Grandchildren: Amanda Ashby of Hurst, IL and Ernie Ashby of Pawnee, IL; Sister: Lucille Pantaleo and husband Vincent of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers: Harold Dial, Robert Dial, and Harley Dial, and a sister: Laura Craig.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Carbondale, IL. Cremation services were provided by McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Taylorville, IL
