Pauline Van Huss

Pauline May Van Huss, 93, of rural Girard, IL, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Pauline was born on January 13, 1933, in Auburn, IL, the daughter of Carl and Esther ( Edwards ) Barnes. She married Carl Van Huss. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her two sons, Kevin Van Huss of Carlinville, IL and Michael ((Debra) Van Huss of Girard, IL; her grandson, Evan Van Huss of St. Charles, MO; her granddaughter, Bethany Van Huss of Girard, IL; and her great-granddaughter, Victoria Van Huss. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two brothers.

Pauline enjoyed traveling all over the place which included Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going to yoga with friends, and attending church every Sunday at Blooming Grove Christian Church. She worked at Dickey Johns for several years.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden, IL. A funeral service will begin following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be in Virden Cemetery.
