Pauline Phillips

Pauline May Phillips, 93, of Bloomington and formerly of Phoenix, AZ, passed away at 3:17 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Luther Oaks in Bloomington.

Her graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Blue River Cemetery in Detroit, Illinois. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.

Pauline was born August 27, 1924 in LeRoy, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Iva Prince Fry. She married Fred Phillips on December 20, 1947 in Peoria, IL.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and six siblings, Dale Fry, Dorothy Lype, Mildred Thompson, Esther Scott, Donna Julian and Ken Fry.

Pauline was very involved in the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as Worthy Matron. She was also very active in Amaranth and her church, Bethel United Methodist Church in Phoenix, AZ.
