Patsy Rue Walker

Patsy Rue Walker, 87, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 1:56 A.M. Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Goldwater Care in Bloomington, Illinois.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Caleb Dedow officiating. Burial will follow at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Patsy was born on January 28, 1936, in Olmsted, Illinois, a daughter of Willis Wade and Edna Morris Castleman. She married Alvin Leo Walker on November 20, 1954, in Cerro Gordo, Illinois. He passed away on September 27, 1992.

She is survived by her son, Timothy J. (Kathy) Walker of Le Roy, Illinois; daughter, Melissa Hornke of Le Roy, Illinois; grandchildren, Jarrad (Jennifer) Walker and their children, Bennett and Drake; Jessica (Travis) Wheet; Natashia (Justin) Brueggemann and their son, Charlie; Bradley Walker; Alisha (Brad) Carden and their children, Ryder, Ensley and Cora; Erica Carden and her children, Justin, Jameson and Maverick; and Courtney and Laila Hornke; and brother, Charles Castleman of Decatur, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, Scott, Terry and Kevin Walker; parents; and brothers, James and Leonard Castleman.

Patsy retired from Country Companies in Bloomington, Illinois.
