Patricia A. Sanders

Patricia A. "Pat" Sanders, 73, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:53 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2020 at Heritage Health in El Paso.

She was born December 25, 1946 in Bloomington, the daughter of Horace and Margaret Duffy Boyd.

Survivors include a son, Doug Sanders, CO; three daughters: Kim Sanders, WI; Kristine Smith, WI; Julie (Brad) Closen, Utah; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Pat is also survived by two sisters, Kris Baugh, Bloomington and Theresa Boyd (Bruce Finks), Bloomington, and one brother Roy Boyd (Judy), TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Steve Boyd (Vicki) and Tom Boyd (Victoria) and her dear niece, Melissa Baugh.

Pat married Ed Sanders in 1967. Their life together took them to Utah, California and Colorado where they raised their 4 children. They divorced. Pat moved back to her hometown, Bloomington, where she earned her Associates Degree from Heartland Community College. Before retiring Pat most recently worked at Krogers on College Avenue, Normal.

Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. Inurnment will be in Funks Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
