Patricia “Patie” Ann Johnson, 71, of Gardner, IL. was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 3:31pm at Arc of Dwight Nursing Home. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date Memorials in honor of Ann may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers. Patie Ann was born in Seat Pleasant, Maryland on November 27, 1952, to Nathan Jacob and Betty Louise (Emerson) Segal. She married Richard Johnson in 1983 at the First Presbyterian Church in Port Huron, MI. He survives in Gardner, IL. She was a current member of Christian Life Assembly in Coal City, IL. Surviving family include children, Eric (Karen) Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Tina Johnson of Omar, FL, Tammy (Don) Fryer of Attica, MI, James (Ashley) Holleran of EastPointe, MI; siblings, Joseph Segal of Cochran, Geogia, Anthony (Kathy) Shafer of Mt. Clemens, Michigan sisters, Nancy Zettner of Clinton Township, Michigan, Linda Segal of New York; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding in death are her parents, brother, Charles Shafer and sister Sandy Segal. In her younger years she loved to roller skate. She took pride in her appearance and enjoyed jogging. She was very active and loved to keep things clean and tidy, nothing was ever out of place. She was passionate about her flower gardens and had a green thumb when it came to her prized canna’s and morning glory, bringing beautiful humming birds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she would do anything to make her family happy.
