Patricia Novotney

Patricia A. Novotney, 87, of Normal, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Carle BroMenn, Normal. Pat’s private funeral service and burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal.

She was born Feb. 5, 1938 in Streator, a daughter of Howard and Pauline Gingrich. She married Ronald J. Novotney on October 19, 1957 in Streator.

Surviving are her two sons, Shawn R. (Alexandria) Novotney and Scott R. (Megan) Novotney; and two grandchildren Kyle (Lia Demopoulos) and Lauren Novotney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Novotney and brother, Leslie Gingrich.

Pat was a beloved grandmother whose life centered on family, faith, and friendship. She enjoyed watching NFL football, especially the Chicago Bears, and stayed active through walking and years of participation in the Jingle Bell Run.

Pat and her husband were longtime members of Epiphany Church and active in Knights of Columbus events. Deeply devoted to her sons and their families, she was immensely proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. A loyal friend to many, Pat enjoyed being a snowbird after retirement, spending winters in Texas and later Florida.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
