Patricia M. Littlefield

Patricia "Pat" M. Littlefield, 98, of Normal, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Heritage Health in Normal.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal, where visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Rev. Joseph Baker will officiate. Interment will immediately follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLean County Historical Society or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

She was born March 17, 1921 in Bloomington, daughter of John J. and Leota Mary Allen Million. She married Louis E. Littlefield on November 6, 1943 in Peoria, he preceded her in death on September 30, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Lou Frey.

Surviving are two children, Lou Ann Jacobs of Normal and John Patrick Littlefield of Bloomington.

Pat was a 1939 graduate of University High School and she attended ISNU for 1 year before enrolling in St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1943. After graduation she worked at St. Joseph Hospital and the ISSCS (Illinois Soldiers and Sailors Children's School). She was one of the first nurses hired at the ISU Health Center in 1951 and worked there until 1969. She worked at Brokaw Hospital from 1969-79, and she retired in 1986 from Mennonite Hospital, extended care.

She was a former member of the McLean County Genealogical Society, McLean County Historical Society and St. Joseph's Alumni Association.
