Patricia Eskew

Patricia Joyce Eskew, 93, of Virden, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Virden.

Patricia was born November 23, 1932, in Castlerock, WA, the daughter of Robert Patrick and Joyce Blanche Oglesby. Robert raised Patricia since she was a little girl. She married Anthony “Tony” Eskew on September 1, 1947, in Carlinville. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2007.

Surviving is her son, Gary (Amy) Eskew of Thayer, IL; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Jacqueline Silvey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant son, Robert Eskew, and son, Mark Eskew; a daughter, Cathy Grimmett; and a sister, Diane Platz.

Airsman & Calvert Funeral home in Virden is charge of cremation arrangements. A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard.
