O. David McMahon Obituary (1929 - 2020)

O. David McMahon 91, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away at 6:04 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2020, in his residence surround by his family. In keeping with Dave's wishes the family will celebrate his life at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. He married Diana "Sue" Sphar on July 15, 1975. He retired as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Essex Wire. He had served in the US Army and was a Korean War veteran. Dave traveled all over the world with his position with Essex Wire. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening traveling with his wife and spending time with his large family. Surviving are his wife: Sue of Mt. Zion, five children: Pat Drum and his wife Sheila of Long Creek, Cathy Having and her husband Mike of Long Creek, Patrick McMahon of Lutz, FL, Steve McMahon of Argenta, IL, and Tim McMahon of Argenta, IL, two brothers: Franklin McMahon and his wife Ann of Branson, MO and Gene McMahon and his wife Kay of Branson, MO; sister: Frances Ford of Irving TX; , fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
