Noela Elizabeth Hunter Obituary (1937

Noela Elizabeth Hunter, 76, of Mt. Zion, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus with her loving family by her side at 9:46 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013. A service to celebrate Noela's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion with Pastor Tracy Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Noela was born June 25, 1937 in Pana, IL the daughter of John and Lucille (Moore) Garber. She formerly worked for J.C. Penny and the First National Bank of Decatur. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Zion. Surviving are her children: Beverly Gant and her significant other Steve Bromley of Mt. Zion, Bradley Hunter and his wife Joyce of Argenta, Mark Hunter and his wife Jami of Decatur, and Sheri Scranton of Decatur; brother: Richard Garber and his wife Marvene of Pana; grandchildren: Rochelle Luttrell and her husband Ken of LaPlace, Jeremiah Lamont of Denver, CO, Dustin Hunter and his wife Amber of Argenta, Chelsie Kirschner and husband Joe of Cisco, Brandon Hunter of Decatur, Brett Hunter and his wife Mallory of Decatur, Breann Hunter of Decatur, Sarah, Melanie, and Vanessa Scranton of Decatur and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: John and the father of her children: Donald L. Hunter.
