Niles E. "Gene" McKittrick Obituary (1947 - 2023)

Niles E. "Gene" McKittrick, 75, of Pana passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 in Heritage Health--Pana. He was born June 19, 1947 in Pana, IL, son of the late Niles Miller & Wavalene McKittrick. Gene married Barbara Riley on April 1, 1966 and she survives in Oconee, IL. Gene worked at Sugar Creek Creamery in Pana for many years and then worked at Trailmobile in Charleston. He loved his family and anything outdoors, especially hunting & fishing. Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Terrie McKittrick, Oconee, IL; sons: Carl (Donna) McKittrick, Herrick, IL; Chad McKittrick, Oconee, IL; grandchildren: Robbie Gatons (Amanda Perry), Budda Gatons (Chandler Ward), Ashlee (John) Stadler, Quentin McKittrick, Alexis Sisk McKittrick, Kaylee Sisk McKittrick, Marissa Sisk McKittrick, Paige McKittrick & Nicole Arkebauer; 11 great grandchildren: Kolten, Cayneisha, Kylee, Dillon, Jayce, Tayten, Damon, Emmett, Colin, Justice, Anthony and one on the way; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Lettie. A celebration of life with sharing of memories will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February, 1, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in Gene's honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
