Nellie Mae Belle Robbins Obituary (1918

Nellie Mae Belle (Preston) Robbins, 95, passed at Fair Havens Christian home at 1:32 p.m., on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Robbins was born to Eva Lena (Taylor) Preston and William Oscar Preston on April 21, 1918 in Monroe City, Missouri. She married James Arthur Robbins on May 5, 1942. They had two children: James Edward Robbins and JoAnn (Robbins) McDougal. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Gladys Preston, her son: James Edward Robbins and her husband James Arthur Robbins. She is survived by her daughter: JoAnn (Robbins) McDougal and her husband Harold of Lenexa, KS; seven grandchildren: Alicia McDougal and Whitney McDougal both of Overland Park, KS; Vincent White of Decatur, James Edward Robbins and James Arthur Robbins both of San Diego, CA, Carrie Robbins and Cynthia Robbins both of Rock Island, IL, Great-granddaughter: Eva Elise McDougal of Overland Park, KS; three sister-in-laws: Edna Buckner, Vernie Robbins of Quincy, IL and Ora Lee Rogan of Rock Island, IL; and an array of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and had been a resident of Fair Havens Christian Home for eight years. She will be greatly missed but has gone on to a greater place.
