Myron E. Simmons Jr., 20-day old son of Myron E. Simmons Sr and Matika Alexander, passed away at 1:59 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. A service to celebrate his life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. He was born January 30, 2019 in Normal. Surviving are his parents; his siblings, Tamia Bratton-Ellis, Ti'Marion Bratton-Ellis and Nevaeh Johnson; his maternal grandmother, Tamika Alexander; his paternal grandparents, Toinette Mills and Myron Simmons; and his aunts and uncles, Makita Alexander, Tamika Alexander, Kaytrise Fitch Jr., Katrel Fitch, Kaythiese Fitch, Bryant Spencer, Latasha Mills, Erin Funches, Christopher Simmons, Terrion Williams and Mariaha Williams. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Hattie Calhoun and John Calhoun Sr.; two aunts, Kali Williams and Kerria Williams; and an uncle, Michael Williams.
