Mildred "Millie" P. Wright Obituary (1934 - 2023)

Mildred "Millie" P. Wright, 88, of Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Goldwater Care in Pontiac. Her service will be Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Carlin Ours officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Odell. Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Millie was born December 14, 1934, in Joliet, IL to Edward and Edna (Earls) Knupp. She married Robert Wright on May 1, 1954, in Morris, IL. He passed away on August 13, 2001. Millie is survived by her children, Dee (Robert) McCarty of Pontiac, IL, Debra Patterson of Pontiac, IL, Sharon (Kevin) Schraeder of Springfield, IL, Robin (Randy) Sorensen of South Wilmington, IL, and Robert (Lori) Wright of Pontiac, IL; grandchildren, Anna, Amy, Tracey, Nathan, Luke, Daniel, Mattie, Becca, Attilio, Harmony, Andrew, Kayla; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Edward (Pat) Knupp of Arkdale, WI; and sister-in-law, Rita Wright of Pontiac, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; grandson, Brandon; and sister, Ruth Schroeder. Millie worked for Don's Red Fox and later for County Market, both in Pontiac. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, and she always made sure she had a full candy dish for all of them. She also enjoyed needlecraft, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, and she was a fan of the Chicago Cubs. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
