Mildred Ann "Millie" Froman Obituary (1930

MINONK- Mildred “Millie” (Beachey) Froman of Minonk, IL passed away at 4:23 PM on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at The ARC in Normal, IL. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Minonk Township Cemetery. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Homes in El Paso is in charge of arrangements. Millie was born on March 8, 1930, in rural El Paso IL. Her parents were Cora (Noffsinger) Beachey and Clinton Beachey (both deceased). Millie was preceded in death by two sisters Marguerite Wince and Ada Kamerer. Millie graduated from El Paso High School and started dating former Air Force Sargent Ernest “Ernie” Froman (deceased) in 1948. They were married the next year in Roanoke, IL and settled in Minonk where they raised six children: Linda (Bradley) of Gridley, Frances (Durre) (deceased), Wanda (now Stephanie Renée) (Jim) Ridgeway of Bloomington, Michael Froman of El Paso, Dale Froman of Normal, and Christopher (Jenn) of Bloomington. Millie credited prayer and God’s intervention with saving Dale’s life in infancy. After Ernie retired from a career at Pontiac Correctional Center, he and Millie started a part-time furniture repair and refinishing business, Froman’s Wood Art Shop. Millie worked at recaning chairs. Their family enjoyed summer camping trips to Starved Rock State Park. For many years, Millie and Ernie would begin each day by reading and studying two pages from their Bible. Millie cared for Ernie during his last illness and death in 2010.
