Michael Kenneth Deighan

Michael Kenneth Deighan, 38, of Bloomington, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where the rosary will be recited at 6pm. His funeral will be held at 10am on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal. Interment will follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Epiphany Catholic Church.

He was born October 10, 1985 in Normal, son of Thomas M. and Marti E. Roth Deighan. He was preceded in death by his father in 2013; his paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Deighan and his maternal grandparents, Merlin and Rev. Mary E. Roth.

Surviving are his mother, Marti E. Deighan; one brother, Patrick Deighan and his paternal grandmother, June E. Deighan, all of Bloomington. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Kathleen (Michael Blankshain) Deighan, Northfield, Karen (David Skelding) Deighan MD, Chicago, Jennifer (Donald Knapp) Deighan, Bloomington, Christopher Jay (Nancy) Deighan, Warner Robbins, GA, Marilyn Kuper, St. Louis, MO and Mark (Peiyu) Roth, Monterey, CA and numerous cousins.

Michael was a Bloomington High School graduate, class of 2004. He also had attended Heartland Community College, Normal.

He was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan and he enjoyed playing tennis. He was also an avid video-gamer and attended conventions on both coasts. Most important to him was his family and his faith.
