Michael E. Zeitler

Michael E. Zeitler, 65, of Bloomington, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church of Merna. He was born November 12, 1950 in Bloomington, the son of Donald E. and Veronica J. Daly Zeitler. Surviving are two daughters, Brooke (Jed) Stoller and Emily (Michael Janssen) Zeitler, both of Bloomington; his mother, Veronica Zeitler of Bloomington; a brother, Robert Zeitler of Sibley; and two sisters, Barbara (Terance) Tay of Bloomington and Rebecca Sheppelman of Downs. He was preceded in death by his father. Mike graduated from University High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed in car sales in Bloomington for many years. Mike lived in Florida for 30 years where he worked in road construction prior to retiring. He was an avid fisherman and always had a joke to tell.
