Michael Dodson

Michael Dodson, 51, of Pana passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield. He was born April 15, 1974, in Taylorville, IL to Michael & Brenda (Ishmael) Dodson.
Michael enjoyed hanging out and helping his friends and kept busy by tinkering around working on things.
Michael is survived by his children: Zack Kistler, Chelsea Dodson, Kaitlyn Dodson, Levi Dodson; six grandchildren; grandmother: Audrey Ishmael; and his brothers: Daniel (Norma) Dodson & Adam Dodson. He is preceded by his paternal grandparents, Floyd & Kathryn Dodson and maternal grandfather, Orval Ishmael.
A graveside service for Michael will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Mound Cemetery, Pana with Rev. Ron Brown officiating.
Memorials in Michael’s honor may be made to the choice of the donor and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
