Melody Brown

Melody A. Brown, 57, of Ramsey passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born September 19, 1968 in Carmi, IL, daughter of Charles & Mary (Browning) Jackson. Melody and Dewayne Brown were married on August 13, 1988 in the First Pentecostal Church, Ramsey.
Melody was a graduate of Carmi High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family & grandchildren, who along with her dogs, were her whole world.
Melody is survived by her husband, Dewayne Brown, Jr., Ramsey, IL; father, Charles Jackson; children: Charles Jackson, Ramsey, IL; Chris (Brittany) Brown, Carmi, IL; Brandi Brown, Ramsey, IL; 5 grandchildren: Dakota Brown, Keaton Grant, Maci Grant, Baylie Brown & Asher Brown and sisters: Jeannie (David) Miles, Evansville, IN; Julie Prater, Decatur, AL; Christie (Doug) Foor, Shelbyville, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Rebecca Wolfe.
Funeral services for Melody will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church, rural Tower Hill at with Pastor David Russell officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
