Maudie "Marie" Coss Obituary (1929

Maudie “Marie” Coss, 87, of Nokomis, IL passed away on June 13, 2016 at 5:05 a.m. at Meadow Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorville, IL. She was born on April 21, 1929 in Wheeler, MI; the daughter of K.D. and Ruth (Vought) Young. She married Dale Pence, Ted Wolfe and Allen B. Coss all of whom preceded her in passing. She was a native of Michigan. She moved to Illinois with her first husband and resided in Litchfield for many years. After marring Allen Coss, she resided in Nokomis. She worked in healthcare and received her LPN license late in life. The last few months, she had been in Meadow Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as Taylorville Memorial Hospital as her health declined. Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield, IL. She is survived by her step-sons: Jimmie (Gayla) Coss of Nokomis, IL, Beauford Coss of Litchfield, IL and Gary (Janet) Wolfe of FL; step-daughter: Jennifer Rickard of Chesapeake, VA; six step-grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; brother: Tommi Lee Young of MI; sister: Margret Shears of MI and nephew, Ray Young whom she raised. Marie was preceded by her parents, husbands, brothers, Kermit Young and Claude Young; sister, Lou Clark. Burial will be held at a later date in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Litchfield, IL Arrangements by Sutton Funeral Home, Nokomis, Illinois
