Matthew James Hollenbeck Sr age 43 of Bloomington IL, passed away at 8:12 PM, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal IL. He was cremated. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Matt was born September 11, 1980 in Bloomington IL the son of Veryl and Linda Fleming Hollenbeck. Surviving, son, Matthew James Hollenbeck Jr., Bloomington, IL, mother Linda Hollenbeck, Chicago IL, 2 sisters, Jennifer Hollenbeck, East Peoria, IL, Patricia Murray, Bloomington, IL, and his girlfriend, Kristin Underwood, Heyworth, IL. Matt is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. Matt graduated from Bloomington High school, and he was a self-employed contractor. Matt was a natural athlete and he enjoyed ice hockey and football. He was avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a loving son and devoted father he will be missed by all who knew him.
