Mary Lynn Toon

Mary Lynn Toon, 66, of Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 8:40 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria following a sudden illness.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac with Pastor Canessa Lagan officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.

There will be no visitation. A reception will be held at the church following the memorial service.

Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lynn was born September 20, 1950 in Pontiac, IL to Richard and Lois (Johnson) Dillon. She married William "Pat" Toon on April 17, 1971 in Pontiac. He survives in Pontiac.

She is also survived by her daughter, Beth Lynn (James) Lohman of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Beverly (John) Meyenberg of Summerville, SC; and granddaughter, Vicey Lohman and another granddaughter is expected in April.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Lynn was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School, Class of 1968. She was a dedicated employee of Pontiac National Bank and State Bank of Graymont for over 38 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, IL where she served as a Deacon and an Elder. She was the recipient of Citizen of the Year in 2003 and the ATHENA Award in 2007.

Mary Lynn enjoyed traveling with her family and making frequent visits to see her granddaughter. She enjoyed volunteering for many organizations in her community. She was a proud breast cancer survivor for over 22 years.
