Mary M. Broom Obituary (1930

Mary M. Broom, 84, of Towanda passed away at 12:35 a.m. Monday (July 13, 2015) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, with her son, the Rev. Jeffrey Broom, officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Memorials may be directed to the Pregnancy Resource Center, Normal.Mary was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Towanda, the daughter of Delmer and Clara Goodin Sutter. She married Marion Eugene Gene Broom on July 24, 1949, in Towanda. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2007.She is survived by two daughters, Paula (Brian) Moore, Normal, and Pam (Jack) Warren, Towanda; two sons, Jeff (Terri) Broom, Backus, Minn., and Jim Broom, Savage, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, Mary Kate Moore, Victoria Moore, Rachel Krumwiede, Zachary Broom, Samuel Broom, Thomas Broom, Beau Broom, Tarah Eckman, Brett Warren, Alex Warren, Charice Powers and James Broom-Schweigert.
