Mary Elnora Evans

Mary Elnora Evans, 85 of Nokomis, Illinois died Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Nokomis Rehabilitation. She was born on September 10, 1928 in Greencastle, Indiana to Clarence Higgins Sr. and Mamie (Morgan) Higgins.
Mary moved to Nokomis from Indiana in July of 1980 and worked as a CNA for fifteen years at Golden Manor. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Indiana and enjoyed reading as her hobby.
She was married to John E Evans who passed away in 1970.
Mary is survived by her children: John Evans and Richard Mangus both of Nokomis, Illinois; grandchildren Tonya Lin Valdez of San Antonio, Texas and Shannon Mangus of Greencastle, Indiana; and her half-sister Barbara Higgins of Cloverdale , Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, son, Michael Mangus and her seven brothers and sisters.
