Mary Catherine Evans

Mary Catherine Evans, 93, of Owaneco, IL died at 9:20 am Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1912 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of Felix and Natalina Viano Canuto. On June 6, 1942 she married Lyle B.Evans in Edwardsville, IL and he preceded in death on Febuary 23, 1984. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker, a member of the Owaneco United Methodist Church, the Nimble Thimbles of the Owaneco United Methodist Church and St. Vincent Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Moss and husband Phil of Washington, IL and two grandsons, Shawn Moss and Mark Moss both of Washington, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Owaneco United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, August 5 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville and one hour prior to services in the church on Saturday.
