Mary F. Blazer

Mary F. Blazer, 87, of Taylorville, IL went to be with her Lord at 10:30 pm Friday, April 22, 2011 at Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville.

She was born May 20, 1923 in Taylorville the daughter of Thomas Clifford and Helen G. Stroud Pearson. On April 21, 1945 she married Richard Speer in Mississippi and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Albert Blazer on December 23, 1972 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1996. Mrs. Blazer was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville.

Surviving are her Step-Son: LeRoy Blazer and wife Mary of Forsyth; Step-Daughter: Joan Jordan and husband Robert of Assumption; Step-Daughter-n-Law: Pam Blazer of Decatur. Sisters: Ruth Tuxhorn of Rochester, Waneta Durbin of Chatham and Mable McConnell and husband Don of Taylorville. There are 7 Step Grandchildren, 10 Step-Great Grandchildren, and 9 Step Great-great Grandchildren. There are also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Son James Leon Speer in infancy, 1 step son: Joe Blazer, 2 step Grandchildren, and a Brother Roy Pearson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Switzer officiating. Burial will be in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of service on Tuesday in the funeral home.
