Mary Alice Allgood

Mary Alice Allgood, 95, of Blue Mound, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in her residence with her loving family by her side.
A service to honor and celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mary will be laid to rest in Hall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Blue Mound Memorial Library.
Mary was born on April 28, 1924 in Tower Hill, IL, the daughter of William and Edna (Groves) Clark. She married Clayton Allgood on May 23, 1942 in Tower Hill. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2001. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her children: Judy Arlene Smith and her husband Eric Sr. of Blue Mound, IL, Paul Eugene Allgood and his wife Lisa of Edinburg, IL; grandchildren: Eric Smith Jr. and his wife Patty, Kevin Allgood and his wife Becky, Dwayne Allgood and his wife Nicole, Alice Reed and her husband Jeff, Erin Smith and his companion Deborah Born; 13 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; one step great grandchild; special friend: Brenda West of Taylorville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and her great grandson Keaton Smith.
