Marty Lou Blumenshine Obituary (1969

Washburn: Marty Lou Blumenshine, 56, of Washburn, passed away Thursday September 25, 2025, 1:51 pm at Carle Bromen Medical Center, Bloomington. Visitation will be Thursday Oct. 2, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Washburn. Graveside services will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Washington at 12:00 noon. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family. Marty was born March 29, 1969, in Peoria, IL to Adam and Hazel (Steelman) Blumenshine. Surviving is her companion of many years, James Keown, her son, Joshua (Fiancé Stephanie Shelton) Blumenshine, and daughter, Jerrica Baker, all of Washburn, step children, Tara Keown, Brandon Keown, her sisters, Margie (Rusty) De Lap, of Metamora, Hazel Haycraft, of KY, and Billie Blumenshine, of East Peoria, and brother, Adam (Sara) Blumenshine, of Creve Coeur, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, Adam Blumenshine and Hazel Steelman one daughter, Jacklyn Blumenshine, and one sister, Michelle Joiner, and a stepson, Holden Keown, preceded her in death. Marty was a selfless soul, who always thought of others before herself. She spent most of her life caring for kids and when it wasn’t kids, it was her animal’s. We want everyone to remember her as her genuine self, full of life. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
