Martha H. Linskey Obituary (1920

Martha H. Linskey, 91, of Pontiac died Saturday (Dec. 17, 2011) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac. The service will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, with Monsignor Thomas Mack officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, with the rosary at 8:30 a.m. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School or St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. She was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Pontiac, to Fred and Mae Bradley Taylor. She married Timothy J. Linskey on Oct. 4, 1943. He died Dec. 27, 1972. She is survived by two sons, Timothy M. Linskey of Englewood, Fla., and Michael T. Linskey of Pontiac; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; one son, Patrick J. Linskey; and one sister, Mary Taylor. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Women's Guild and St. Mary's Adoration for over 20 years. She was a homemaker and worked in the Pontiac District 429 cafeteria for 10 years. She was educated in St. Mary's Grade School and was a 1938 Pontiac Township High School graduate.
