Mariah Gabriell Kletz, age 16, passed away on February 7, 2026. Her life was taken far too soon, leaving a deep and lasting void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Mariah was a student at Normal Community West High School with a bright future and big dreams. She often spoke of her goal to one day become a CEO and approached life with determination, hope, and ambition. She was known for her loving and caring heart, always striving to bring happiness and peace to those around her. Mariah was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, consistently putting others before herself. She had a deep love for animals, showing them the same gentleness and compassion, she showed to people. Her beautiful smile, quiet strength, and tender spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her father, Michael Kletz (Katilyn Wyatt); her bonus mom/aunt, Crystal Nelson; her siblings Carter, Athena, Michael JR., Chloe, Noah, and Ayla; her grandparents Richard (Patsy Kletz), and Lori Gibson; her Nana, Theresa Nelson; her Papa, Cory Nelson; her aunts Jessica, Hailey, Amber, Sara, and Alexis; her uncles Richie and Gage; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachael Wessells; her brother, Aden Kletz; her paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Kletz; and her great-grandfather, Michael Kletz.

Though her time here was far too short, the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the kindness she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

Mariah’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
