Maria B. Diaz

Maria Belen Diaz, 69, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:33 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 13, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington, where visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born January 28, 1950 in Mexico, daughter of Asuncion Huerta Ochoa and Julia Roque Gutierres. She married Juan Diaz in 1966 in Mexico. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Maria (Emiliano) Martinez, Rafael (Noelia) Diaz, Maria Y. (Julian) Lopez, Gregorio (Betania) Diaz, Domitila (Victor) Olivares, Josefina (Rene) Contreras, Marco (Elva) Diaz, Juana (Jose) Venegas and Mario (Ivon) Diaz; 35 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
