Marcella Ruth Passoni Obituary (1917

Marcella Ruth Passoni, 85, of Taylorville, IL died at 1:40 pm Sunday, September 21, 2003 in Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville, IL. She was born November 27, 1917 in East Grand Forks, MN, the daughter of Loy and Velma Wareham Eson. She first married James Alfred Neighbors, later marrying Arthur Passoni and then was with long time companion Rusty Johnson prior to his death. Mrs. Passoni was a member of the First Baptist Church in Taylorville, member and Past Worthy Matron of Haselmere Chapter #221 Order of Eastern Star, V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose. Surviving are her son, Gary Neighbors and wife Sharon of Waco, TX; Sister, Dena Cave of Phoenix, AZ; 2 Grandchildren: Brent Neighbors and wife Lori of Norman, OK and Todd Neighbors and wife Jennifer of Hillsboro, TX. 5 Great Grandchildren: Zachary Neighbors, Jacob Neighbors, Benjamin Neighbors, Taylor Neighbors, and Kennedy Neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, companion, two brothers, Wayne Eson and Dale Eson and a sister, Phyllis Eson. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, September 25, 203 in First Baptist Church, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 24, 2003 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with a 7:30 pm Eastern Star Service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL.
