Lucia De Santis Obituary (1931 - 2023)

Lucia De Santis, 92, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Carle-BroMenn Medical Center. Lucia was born August 14, 1931, in San Martino in Pensilis, Italy, the daughter of Vincenzo De Santis and Mafalda Palmiotti. She married Luigi Carriero on December 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Mattia De Santis. Surviving are her two sons, Saverio Carriero (Monica Pezzuto) and Maurizio Carriero (Liliana Taimoorazi); four grandchildren, Marco (Kristin) Carriero, Alessandra (Jamie) Adkinson, Arianna Carriero, and Lorenzo Carriero and many nieces and nephews. Lucia loved spending time and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and being the family chef, traveling, shopping, collecting perfume and clothing.
