Louise Meyer

Louise Meyer, 95, of Odell, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at 6:30 a.m. in Odell, IL.

Her service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Odell with Father Bill Keebler officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Pontiac.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church in Odell.

Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.

Louise was born December 12, 1920 in Morris, IL to John and Mary Minerich. She married Bernard Meyer in 1951 at Immaculate Conception Church in Morris, IL. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Jan (Ron) Berta of Coal City, IL, John (Lori) Halliday of Coal City, IL, Mary Lou (Terry McLaughlin) Halliday of Joliet, IL, and Jim (Genie) Halliday of Florida; and special friends, Gary Fosen, Vanessa Shephard, and Jim and Diane Schott, all of Odell, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; and eight brothers and sisters.

Louise attended Morris Schools and worked at the Arsenal near Elwood, for Louis Ellis in Pontiac, at Self Locking in Morris; and also worked side by side with her husband on the farm. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Odell. Louise was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She liked to work on puzzles and enjoyed reading.
