Lois Lebon

Lois Marie Lebon, 87, of Pana passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born December 3, 1938 in Pana, daughter of the late Ray E. & Ethelyn Novella (DeLong) Cothern. Lois married Ferd Lebon on November 3, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2022.
Lois had worked at Mallory’s and then as the business office manager at Heritage Health, Pana for 30 years. She was a member of the United in Faith Church, Pana, as well as the Pana Moose, Pana Eagles & Pana Senior Citizens Center. Lois enjoyed crafts, baking, bowling and sports, especially the Cubs. She loved going to the grandkids’ sporting events and making the apparel for everyone to wear to the games.
Lois is survived by her children: Vicky Damery, Pana, IL; Trent (Judy) Lebon, Pana, IL; Brian (Michelle) Lebon, Pana, IL & Lisa (Brian) Carlson, Pana, IL; grandchildren: Brittany Cox (Derek Porter), Josh (Jodi) Lenover, Zach Lebon, Jeremy (Whitney) Lebon, Trent Lebon, Jr. (Shelby Cole), Dylan Taylor (Farrah Ginger), Jared Lebon (Tiffany), Tanner (Aubrey) Lebon, Andy Lebon, Hunter Lebon, Brayden Carlson, Jacelynn Carlson & Sydney Evans; several great grandchildren and brother, Kevin Cothern, Pana, IL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: Randy Lebon & Kurt Lebon and siblings: Frederick Cothern, Kenneth Cothern & Carolyn Stieg.
Funeral services for Lois will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 in United in Faith Church, Pana at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leon Goff officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
Following services, cremation rites will be accorded and a private inurnment will be held in Mound Cemetery, Pana.
Memorials in Lois’ honor may be made to the Pana Sports Boosters or to the National Kidney Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
