Linda L. Marchetti

Linda L. Marchetti, 70, of Pontiac, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, at 12:09 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Her service will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor FH in Pontiac with Deacon Jim Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dwight at a later date.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Linda was born August 8, 1948 in Pontiac, IL to John and Florence M. (Wegerer) Metroz. She married John P. Marchetti on February 21, 1972 in Nevada. He survives in Pontiac.
Also surviving are her children, Tami S. Welch of Cornell, IL, Michelle M. Marchetti of Pontiac, IL, Jason P. Marchetti of Pontiac, IL, Kim A. (John) Williams of Pontiac, IL and Josh P. (Amy Mekarski) Marchetti of Chenoa, IL; brothers, Jim (Jackie) Metroz of Leroy, IL and Russell (Mary Carmen) Metroz of Rincon, GA; sisters, Betty Bustle of Odell, IL, JoAnn Dalton of Normal, IL, and MaryLee Spaniol of Pontiac, IL; grandchildren, Lute, Bryce, Jake, Given, Jacob, Jonathan, Kinzie, Kael, Rory, Gianna, Carter, and Zack; and great-grandchild, Penelope.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jackie Metroz, Louie "Butch" Metroz, and Alan Metroz; sisters, Carol Pogue, Lois Watson, and Janice Martin; grandson, Matthew; and son-in-law, Stephen M. Welch.
Linda was a graduate of Odell Grade School and Odell High School, Class of 1967. She had worked for Pontiac Chair Factory for over 10 years and Pontiac Daily Leader for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Pontiac, IL.
Linda loved spending time with her family and playing BINGO. She was loved by everyone and saw the good in everyone she met.
