Linda M. Dunseth Obituary (1948 - 2024)

Linda M. Dunseth, 75 of Pana went to meet her Lord Friday, January 12, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 29, 1948, in Decatur, IL to the late Philip T. "Bud" & Theresa M. (Swenny) Dressen. She married Jay Dunseth on April 29, 1995, at the First United Methodist Church, Pana and he survives. Linda was a graduate of Pana High school and a member of First United Methodist Church, where she served various committees including the care team, and most recently the memorial committee, Pana Missions Board, PEO, Committee for Pana Education Foundation, Delta Theta Tau. She worked at Bulk Materials Corp., Pana Community Hospital as a secretary for the administrator and later the Pana Community Hospital Foundation Board for fundraisers. She was a great planner, always very organized and enjoyed being the planner of many family gatherings. She also enjoyed golf, doing yoga, hummingbirds, and crocheting. Her and Jay loved to travel, spending their honeymoon in Alaska, and many other trips including Germany, Italy, and a very memorable National Park Tour. Linda loved everyone, friends and family alike, but held an extra special place in her heart for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Linda is also survived by her daughter: Tamera (David) Dunseth-Rosenbaum, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Ella and Riland Niksch; siblings: Phil (Linda) Dressen, Cathy (Dave) Hoff, Mark (Julie) Dressen; sister-in-law: Rhonda Dressen; brother-in-law: Max (Sue) Dunseth; and many nieces & nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by her brother, James “Jim” Dressen. Funeral services for Linda will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 in First United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jessica Baldyga & Pastor In-Sook Hwang officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials in Linda’s honor may be made to Pana Mission Center, Sacred Heart Catholic School, First United Methodist Church, or Pana Education Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
