Linda R. Lanier

Linda R. Lanier, 78, of Mansfield, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:02 P.M. at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, IL.

There will be a private family service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home of Mansfield, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Linda was born on March 24, 1947, in Monticello, IL, a daughter of, Robert and Betty (Stiverson) Wright. She married James D. Lanier on May 24, 1965, in Monticello, IL.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Lanier of Mansfield, IL; two sons, David (Stacy) Lanier of Collinsville, IL, and Larry (Jackie) Lanier of Bloomington, IL; four grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, Payton, and Maya Lanier; sister, Joyce (Roger) Eades of Carterville, IL; and brother, Tom (Samantha) Wright of Fort Worth, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty Wright; and two sisters, Carolyn Spencer and Ruth Humble.

Linda graduated from Monticello High School in 1965. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
