Lela A. Matthews

Lela A. Matthews, 93, of Pana passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Prairie Rose Health Care, Pana. She was born October 6, 1928 in Ramsey, daughter of the late William & Florence (Hoffman) Hoyle. Lela married Herbert Matthews and he survives in Pana.
Lela was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating, collecting knick-knacks, cooking and making their house a home.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Gordon Matthews, Pana, IL; David (Susan) Matthews, Pana, IL; Ted Matthews, Litchfield, IL; grandchildren: Rachel Matthews, Justin (Angie) Matthews, Jared (Kim) Matthews, Jason (Erica) Matthews, Whitney (Ian) Weddle; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: Shirley Lacey, Effingham, IL; Agnes (Ernie) Stelmar, Spring Valley, VA & Rex (Evelyn) Hoyle, St. Jacob, IL. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Delsia Beasley, Ann Randol, Hazel Hoyle, Gene Hoyle, Eva Taylor and Norma Grace Hoyle.
Per Lela's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held.
Memorials in Lela's honor may be made to donor's choice and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
