Learnie Ray Fulk Obituary (1929 - 2024)

Learnie Ray Fulk, 94, of Decatur, IL passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. A graveside service to honor Learnie’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion is assisting the family with services. Learnie was born on December 19, 1929 in Flora, IL, the son of Everett and Bertha (Uebinger) Fulk. He married Pauline McRill on May 26, 1948. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2006. Learnie was a self-employed floor installer for his entire life. Learnie’s passion and love besides his family was playing music with his family and friends. He was witty, kind and compassionate. Learnie enjoyed wintering in Mission, TX for many years. Learnie is survived by his son: Timothy (Cheri) Fulk of Mt. Zion, IL; sister: Rowena Newkirk of Flora, IL; grandchildren: Yona Michelle, Stacey, Stella, Katy (Adam) Sanchez and Laife (Kelsey) Fulk; great granddaughter: Amelia Sanchez; close friend and companion: Renie Halverson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons: Stephen Fulk and Richard Fulk, sister: Maxine Thomas and his brothers: Everett Fulk, Jr., Gene Fulk and Tommy Dean Fulk.
