Laura Marie "Turtle" Seefeldt Obituary (1954

Laura Marie "Turtle" Seefeldt died Saturday, November 2, 2019 at her home in Kenney. She was 64 years old. A memorial service for Turtle will be at noon Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care. She was born at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul on December 21, 1954, a daughter of Clyde and Mary Seefeldt of Crescent City. She graduated from Crescent City High School in 1973. She retired from State Farm Insurance Companies in 2018. She loved her home in Kenney and spent many hours tending her flowers. Turtles made her smile and music kept her spirit alive. The piano gave her a lot of comfort in her final days. She will be missed by many. Laura is survived by her parents; two sisters, Lynn Reinhardt and Leigh Hurtz; and two brothers, Larry Seefeldt and Leslie Seefeldt. Her extended family at her side were Steve and Pam Novel and their granddaughters, Mya and Zoey. And the best neighbors anyone could ask for, DuWayne, Bethandy, Kaidyn and Reicey McCormick.
