Cedar Rapids, Iowa -- Laura J. Canham, 41, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and formerly of Emington, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
A private graveside service will be held.
Burial will be in Sullivan Center Cemetery, rural Cullom.
There will be no calling.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, has charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 24, 1969, at Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of LaVerne and Jeanne (Smolik) Canham.
Surviving are her parents, at Emington; one sister, Julia A. (Chadd) Morrissy, Morris; her paternal grandmother, Connie Canham, Emington; her nephew, Ethan D. Morrissy; and her special friend, David White, Cedar Rapids.
Miss Canham was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Irene Smolik; and her paternal grandfather, LaVerne Canham Sr.
She was a graduate of Tri-Point High School Class of 1988. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in advertising from the University of Illinois.
Laura was a self-employed technical writer.
