Larry Perry

Larry Don Perry, 82, of Tower Hill passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Pana Health & Rehab. He was born April 21, 1944 in Pana, IL, son of the late Lloyd & Clairbell (Cloe) Perry. He married Rubea Cohan on February 2, 1967, they later divorced and she preceded him in death.
Larry was in the Army Reserves and retired from Caterpillar. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church & Pana Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, shooting pool, fishing, mushroom hunting, his goats & dogs, watching Pana Sports and spending time with his family. Larry loved shooting guns, especially his handguns, which he was a very proficient shot. He could often be found drinking coffee with his buddies and having lunch at the Pana School shed with Sam.
Larry is survived by his children: Sam (Gayle) Perry, Tower Hill, IL and Angela Martincic, Tower Hill, IL; grandchildren: Brad Merritt, Tyler Merritt, Justin Merritt, Samantha (Austin) Henschen & Lane Perry; great grandson, Zachary Merritt and sister, Penny Perry, Nokomis, IL. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and Gary Perry, both in infancy and brother, Tom Perry on March 25, 2019.
Funeral services for Larry will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in the Tower Hill Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Derrick Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time in the church.
Memorials in Larry’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
