Kimberly "Kim" Kay Gregory, age 63, of Pontiac, IL, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at her residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac, IL, with Pastor JD Buchenau officiating. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials in Kim's memory may be made out to the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, IL, or to Livingston County Humane Society in Pontiac, IL. Calvert and Martin Funeral Home of Pontiac, IL oversees the arrangements. Kimberly was born on November 24, 1959, in Normal, IL, to Max and Doris (Heiken) Reeser. She married Scott Gregory on July 30, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, IL. He survives in Pontiac. Other survivors include her father: Max Reeser of Pontiac, IL; children: Jennifer (Arthur) Barnes of Festus, MO, Brad (Chandra) Gregory of Lake Zurich, IL, and Brent (Jennifer Tomblin) Gregory of Pontiac, IL; grandchildren: Miranda, Aiden, Keegan, Lennon, and Jemma; one sister: Rebecca (James) Sullivan from Oswego, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, one nephew, and her beloved dogs: Carmel Coco Latte and Serenity Faith. Kim graduated from Pontiac Township High School in 1977. She worked for IHR in Pontiac, IL. For most of her life she got to do what she loved, being a homemaker and taking care of her husband and children. It was the most important job she ever had, and she took such pride and enjoyment in that. She was a member of DAR and the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, IL. As a family, we want to express our profound gratitude and love for our dear mother, Kim, who passed away peacefully. She was an extraordinary woman who found joy in traveling, gardening, camping, and riding on her golf cart. She had a soft spot for animals and cared for many pets throughout her life. Above all, she loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, and best friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was the light of our lives, the source of our strength, and the joy of our hearts. We will always cherish the memories we shared with her and keep her in our hearts.
