Kevin J. Windberg Obituary (1992)

Kevin J. Windberg, age 33, of Dwight, formerly of Minooka, IL, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at his residence in Dwight, IL. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Hager Memorial Home, located at 201 W. Mazon Ave, Dwight, IL, 60420. His funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m., following the visitation, all at Hager Memorial Home. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Goodfarm Cemetery in Dwight, IL. Pastor Randy will be presiding over his service. Kevin was born on January 7, 1992, in Palos Heights, IL, to John and Barbara (Bruskay) Windberg. They survive him in Minooka, IL. Other survivors include his three children: Brayden, Addyson, and Memphis Windberg; Mother of Memphis: Stephanie Waite; four siblings: Nancy (Dan) Bilodeau, Bryan (Dana) Windberg, Amy Windberg, and Theresa (Nate) Dennis; and his nieces and nephews: Andrew, Katie, Ryan, Leanne, Grace, Joshua, Gavin, & Cheyenne. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Nicholas and Dorothy Windberg, and maternal grandparents: James and Beatrice Bruskay. Kevin graduated from Minooka Central Community High School in 2010. He worked for Morris Hospital as a custodian, and later at McDonalds in Dwight, IL, as a crew member. Kevin was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed working on cars and carpentry work. He also courageously fought Type I Diabetes since he was just 10 years old. Above all, he loved his children and his family. His three kids were his whole entire world. He made countless memories with his beloved children, family, and friends. Those memories will forever be held close and cherished by those who loved him the most. Kevin was a fun-loving man who truly was the best son, brother, dad, uncle, and friend. He will whole heartedly be missed every single day by all of those who had the honor of knowing him and loving him. Memorial donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to his children.
