Kenneth "Kenny" L. Woith

Kenneth L. "Kenny" Woith age 63, of Normal IL passed away at 3:22 A.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his residence. His funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Fr. David Halt will be officiating. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with an honor guard present from the Bloomington Fire Department. The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, Mennonite College of Nursing, or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Kenny was born January 23, 1954, in Normal, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Mildred Donaldson Woith. He married Wendy Mann on August 7, 1976, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Bloomington, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his 2 children, Sarah Woith, Bloomington, IL, Jason (Jenni) Woith, Normal, IL, 5 grandchildren, Aaliyah and Elijah Trice, Bloomington, IL, Amiah, Noelle, and Gage Woith, Normal, IL, father in-law, Kenneth Mann, Normal, IL

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Ruth Bradford and Donna Starkey,1 brother, William Gipson, and his mother in-law Donna Mann.

Kenny graduated from Bloomington High School in 1973. He was a retired Captain with the Bloomington Fire Department with 29 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenny was well known for his willingness to lend a hand to friends and neighbors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Kenney was highly respected and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.
