Kathryn E. Vitzthum

Kathryn E. Vitzthum, 90, of Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 12:15 p.m. at Evenglow Lodge Health Center Pontiac.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday March 21, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Odell. Pastor Gretchen Stinebaugh will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac.
Visitation will be Friday March 21, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Odell.
Kathryn was born on November 22, 1923 in Odell, daughter of Joseph and Florence M. ( Tissiere ) Francis. She married Louis V. Vitzthum Sr. on October 19, 1945 in Iowa. He passed away on March 21, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Louis L. Vitzthum Jr. of Pontiac, IL, Deanna K. ( Rudy ) Weichman of Flanagan, IL, Carole F. ( John ) Cashmer of Cornell, IL, Marla L. ( Larry ) Weber of Cornell, IL, Shelia R. Dunning of Bloomington, IL, and Avis E. ( Paul ) Casson of Pontiac, IL; her brothers, Donald Francis of Chenoa, IL, Louis Francis of Pontiac, IL, Eugene ( Pat ) Francis of Pontiac, IL, Clifford ( Mary ) Francis of Aurora, IL, and Clyde Francis of Pontiac, IL; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; two brothers, Joseph Francis Jr., and Glenn Francis.
Kathryn was a graduate from Odell Grade and High School. She was a homemaker.
