Katherine Watson

Katherine Watson, 58, of Pontiac, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 5:08 p.m. at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pontiac VFW. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.

Kathy was born October 19, 1958 in Burbank, IL to Richard Walter and Virginia Rose "Jean" (Arrigo) Bialek. They survive in Orland Park, IL. She married Charles Watson on September 19, 2014. He survives in Pontiac.

She is also survived by her children, Allison (Teddy) Evans-Garsva of St. Petersburg, FL and Art (Kateri) Evans of Denver, CO; step-children, Jake Watson of Pontiac, IL and Gracie Watson of Pontiac, IL; brothers, Richard (Jennifer) Bialek of Wheaton, IL and James (Lisa) Bialek of Orland Park, IL; sister, Susan (Silvestre) Cano of Orland Park, IL; and grandchildren, Siena Garsva, Sydney Garsva, Presley Tarver, and Bristol Tarver.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Tarver and one son in infancy.

Kathy graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Early Childhood Education from St. Leo University in Tampa, FL. She taught in both Florida and Illinois.

Kathy will be remembered for her love of animals and nature. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
