Julie Ann Hummert

Julie Ann Hummert, 52, of Decatur passed away at 3:11 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate Julie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church in Decatur. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation. Julie was born February 27, 1960, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Laurence Daren and Judith Ann (Hull) Morris. She was a Southern Illinois University graduate. Julie formerly worked for N & W Railroad as a dispatcher and went on to work for Nicor Gas Company in Bloomington, IL as a Customer Service Representative. She most recently was working for Caterpillar Tractor Company. Julie was an avid animal Lover and enjoyed nature and outdoor activities.
Surviving is her companion: David Shampine of Decatur; son: Austin Hummert of Decatur; father: Laurence Daren Morris of Decatur; brothers; Paul Daniel Morris and his wife Laurie of Oklahoma City, OK and Keith Morris of Charlotte, NC.
She was preceded in death by her mother and several uncles.
